Time Flies

2008 is finished. I am taking a moment today to reflect on the past year - parties and my perfect wedding, a better husband than I could have dreamed, a honeymoon fit for a movie, a good (if busy!) job, good friends, laughs with my family (both new and old)...and I come to the end of 2008 feeling fulfilled.

I am spending tonight with some of my dear college friends, catching up and laughing at old memories. What better way to start a new year than to be surrounded by good friends and laughter? My resolutions this year also have a different edge about them - whether this is a factor of getting older, a larger worldview, knowledge of our world's economic difficulties, or simply a desire to enjoy life in 2009 - and I know that many of you feel the same way. Who wants to worry about losing 5 pounds this year when life is so much bigger than just yourself? I want to be more carefree, more loving, more attentive and more thankful. This poster by artist Sarah Gardner, found on etsy, reflects my sentiments.

Happy New Year!
